Dentistry always appealed to me because it uniquely integrates science and artistry. From providing and maintaining that beautiful smile to keeping you healthy and feeling your best, I truly enjoy using my knowledge and talents to improve my patients’ quality of life.
I am fortunate to feel the same way today as I did when I began my dental career and opened my own practice decades ago. I love my work and simply cannot imagine doing anything else. It is my greatest source of pride to not only continue serving some of my earliest patients but to also be entrusted with the honor and responsibility of treating their children and even grandchildren!
Dentistry is constantly evolving, and I believe that it is critical for dentists to continually hone their knowledge and skills by staying up to date with the latest research, newest treatment protocols, and best practices. I utilize the latest technology and instrumentation available.
I am conservative in my approach, but I offer alternative treatment options whenever possible. I am a firm believer in taking all the time necessary to communicate with my patients, answer all their questions, and make certain that they always understand their options. I strive to make my patients comfortable and relaxed while providing outstanding dental care. In addition, I never forget that my patients’ time is valuable. As such, I work hard to minimize waiting time by scheduling sufficient time for each patient. I am also responsive to off-hour inquiries to see to my patients’ emergency needs as necessary.
Dr. Asher Gelman, Dentist, DMD
Born and raised in New York, Dr. Asher Gelman now lives in Skokie with his wife, Rachael, and their four smart, stubborn, and sometimes well-behaved children, Emmett, Livia, Evan, and Margot.
Before following his wife back to her hometown, Dr. Gelman earned his doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine where he was awarded the Academy of Dental Materials Award for Excellence in Scholarship in Dental Materials and the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity Award for Undergraduate Scholarship. He continued his post-doctorate training in a General Practice Residency at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center, an affiliate hospital of The Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City, where he gained extensive experience in dental implantology and prosthodontics.
Prior to attending dental school, Dr. Gelman graduated summa cum laude from Yeshiva University with a B.A. in Biology. Dr. Gelman has conducted research in modern aesthetic dental ceramics and presented his research before the International Association of Dental Research. His techniques have been published in the peer reviewed Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry.
Drawn to dentistry both for its creative and technical aspects, Dr. Gelman has a passion for problem solving, cosmetic, and implant dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois Dental Association, and the Chicago Dental Society, and is committed to lifelong learning through continuing education.
Dr. Jason Brenner, Dentist, DMD
Dr. Jason Brenner earned his doctorate from the University of Maryland Dental School of Dental Medicine and continued his post-doctorate training in a general Practice Residency at Stony Brook University Hospital in New York, where he gained extensive experience in dental implantology and prosthodontics.
Originally from New York City, Dr. Brenner graduated cum laude from City University of New York Brooklyn College with a B.A. in Economics. He now lives in Lincolnwood with his wife and 3 children. In his free time Dr. Brenner enjoys spending time with his family, playing and watching sports, cooking and music.
Dr. Daniel Chavin
Dr. Chavin was awarded the Probe award for excellence in didactic and clinical periodontology and the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology award for excellence in reading and diagnosing radiographs.
Dr. Daniel Chavin, a General Dentist Earned his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry from the University of Kentucky. Dr. Chavin became a registered dental hygienist in 2007. While working he completed his bachelors degree at UIC with a major in biology and minor in chemistry. He went on to receive a masters in biomedical sciences through Roosevelt university. During his doctorate at the university of Kentucky he was awarded the Probe award for excellence in didactic and clinical periodontology and the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology award for excellence in reading and diagnosing radiographs. At the university of Kentucky he completed a wide variety of procedures that including extractions, oral surgery, endodontics, restorative, and implant dentistry.
Dr. Chavin has been happily married since 2014 to his wife Jessica. The Chavins have 2 sons that keep them on their toes constantly.
Dr. Toni Wolf
Dr. Wolf is a 1979 graduate of Northwestern University School of Dentistry. She enjoys all aspects of general dental practice and takes extensive continuing education courses, with particular interest in cosmetic, restorative, implant, and geriatric dentistry. Our patients comment on how understandable her diagnosis is and how comfortable dental treatment is in our office. Dr. Wolf enjoys coming to work everyday, working with her staff, and providing her patients with the best up-to-date care. Dr. Wolf is married with three daughters and two dogs, and she lives in Evanston. She enjoys cooking, opera, canoeing, kayaking, and is a big fan of dogs.

Dr. Conen is committed to being a conscientious dentist by keeping abreast of all new advances in dentistry. For example he uses a small laser called the “Diagnodent” to detect cavities in their early stages and a computer controlled anesthetic device called “The Wand” which is designed to make delivering anesthetic a more comfortable experience.

Dr. Patrick Carroll
Oral Surgeon
Dr. Patrick Carroll is an Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon with eight years of experience. During his undergraduate studies Dr. Patrick Carroll focused on biology, where he graduated with honors, and earned himself an early admission to the Indiana University School of Dentistry. Upon completing his DDS in the top 10% of his class, Dr. Carroll elected to further develop his talents and complete his residency studying Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Vanderbilt University.
While studying Oral surgery at Vanderbilt, Dr. Carroll would receive heavy exposure to trauma, pathology, anesthesia, and dentoalveolar surgery. His training at Vanderbilt was of paramount importance. Dr. Carroll would act as the chief resident of the facial trauma and reconstruction team where he would further hone his skills.
In his free time, Dr. Carroll enjoys traveling and exploring the corners of Chicago.

Dr. Louis I. Freeman
From the time of receiving his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Northwestern University Dental School in Evanston, Illinois in 1980, Dr. Freeman has been the Chicago north shore dentist for over 32 years. Since beginning his career as a dentist in Skokie, Dr. Freeman has placed an emphasis on prevention and a concern for patient dental health.
While emphasizing dental health, Dr. Freeman has made it a priority to get to know each patient individually. As an experienced dentist in Skokie, Dr. Freeman firmly believes that establishing a caring and trusting relationship with each patient creates a more comfortable experience for both parties (especially with children). Dr. Louis I. Freeman is an active member of the north shore community of Chicago and lives in Wilmette with his three children.
Dr. Freeman has completed numerous advanced training courses in cosmetic dentistry, endodontics, dental implants, fixed prosthodontics like crowns and bridges, and removable prosthodontics like dentures and partial dentures.
